The reunion is history but I believe it was a success. Just a few pictures on Flickr (link above) and George Whinna took some great shots also and his link is above.
We had almost 100 people and I believe it was about 65 classmates there. Cd booklet will be sent out in the next few weeks with more photos, questionnaire information, video of Marty's performance and more. Free to anyone that bought a ticket or donated money.

The reunion plans are going great, the ticket price is 35.00 until Thursday the 15th of July. Please contact us right away if you still want to attend. The attendance numbers are great and we can't wait!!

A Night at the Museum 1975 A.D.
The date is set, the museum is booked, invitations are ready to go out, and the committee is so excited to get busy wrapping up the details. We are going to try and save money by going green this year to save money and postage. You can download all forms here on the website, take the online questionnaire, pay with PayPal and then you be registered and ready to party on July 24th 2010. We will be mailing out some invitations, but would like to keep them to a minimum.

Even if you can not attend please take some time to fill out the questionnaire, either online or print out the PDF (4 pages) and mail or fax it to us. We really are interested in what all our classmates are doing now. We would like these back by June 15th if possible to be included in the Reunion CD Booklet.
If you take the online questionnaire, and pay with PayPal, you do not have to do anything but show up on the 24th of July. We will email you a confirmation that we received your questionnaire and payment. Please print this out.

A Night at the Museum 1975 A.D.
Well, we are moving ahead on the reunion, it looks like we are having the 35th reunion at the Burpee Museum of Natural History in Rockford. We are very excited about this. If you have not seen the museum in years, check out their website below. We are mailing out save the date postcards this week and sending out emails to confirm mailing addresses and emails. If you didn't get one please email us and let us know where the heck you are!

Happy New Year!
We've been getting a lot of emails about the reunion this summer and Jack Patmythes and I are getting a committee together to try and finalize some details. If you have any suggestions or would like to help please don't hesitate to email Jack or myself. What we need right now is your help in getting correct emails and/or mailing addresses to complete our files and please let us know if you know of anyone that is not on our class list that is on this website (link above). I am trying to get that updated also and if you are "not confirmed" means we don't know where you are so PLEASE drop us a quick email with your mailing and contact information. We keep your information private!
A lot of our classmates are on Facebook and there is a page for West High 1975 Alumni. I think you have to have a Facebook account to view this Facebook page, there are about 60 members from our class.

What a great time we all had! It was so nice seeing everyone there and some classmates that we haven't seen in 30 years! I will be posting some photos here and I am also putting them on a photo hosting site call Flickr.com that you can copy any of the pictures to your computer and/or print them out. Click on the link below, then click on any photo that you want, click on the "all sizes" link on the top of the photo and download any of them to your computer.
Thanks to everyone that came to the party and we all can't wait till the summer of 2010 (July 17 -18) to do it again for our 35th reunion. If you have any good photos from the birthday party , please email them to me and I will add them to the Flickr photo page for our class.

Thanks for all the great feedback on the web site. I'm hearing from many people now about our 50th birthday party on September 8th, 2007. It should be really great to see everyone. Hopefully after the party I will post some photos of the party on the web site if people aren't too camera shy. I still am getting many people that have just "tripped" across the web site by chance and I'm glad to hear from anyone. I would like some input on the date and details for the next reunion and I thought it would be a perfect time to talk about that at the picnic. Pray for good weather, but either way the party will go on under the shelter.

It's been a little over a year since we started the Rockford West 1975 web site and it's been great hearing from everyone. We have made some real progress on locating classmates. There are a lot more to find so if you have a minute check out the lost classmates page and see if you know where any of those people are. We have still been adding people to that list that never were on it originally. We've been going though the yearbooks and I have gotten several emails reminding me to add someone. Don't hesitate to email me, my memory needs jogging every once in awhile!! If you want to email or snail mail me any photos to post on the web site "Current Photos" we'd love to post them on the website. Or any great old photographs from our days at West I can scan them and get them back to you. I get a lot of comments about how great it is to look thru the year book pictures.
Check out both guest books on the web site too and keep us updated on any changes in your life (email changes, grandchildren, info about your kids, marital status, whatever you want to share). We are still planning on a 50th Birthday Party this summer (2007), it looks like it will be in July sometime. We'll keep you posted.
I have been getting a lot of emails from other classes wanting information on their class at West and I don't have much information to pass on but if anyone wants to post reunion dates for other West High class reunions that fine because a lot of other people are stumbling onto the web site also. I have been working to get the web site listed in as many major search engines as possible to increase the chance of someone stumbling onto it and it appears to be working.

Hi Everyone....We are going to try and get a committee together for the next reunion...yeah I know it's really early but a lot of other classes set the date for the next reunion at the previous one. And I know that our minds aren't what they used to be but don't worry we will remind you about the date several times. I have 3 people right now that are willing to help out and the more the better, so shoot me an email if you are interested. I have almost everything on computer files so even if you aren't in the area you could help. If you are on the missing list please send an email and give us an updated address. I know several people that don't want to leave messages in the Classmate Updates or Student Lounge and that's fine but let us know you're out there somewhere so we can send you updates via email or postal mail. The counters on the guest books are in the thousands so I know a lot of people are checking out the updates so if you haven't added your two cents we would love to hear from you. We love getting your photos so please send any old or new that you want to post in the galleries.
And for those of us that are freezing in the Midwest, I will echo Robin Brazle Davis's sentiments that Spring must be around the corner!!!

Thanks to everyone for all your support and input on the website this year. I hope we can continue to keep in touch over the years and as our families change and grow we can share our stories. I hope everyone has a great holiday season and send us your Christmas pictures of your family so I can post them.

9/1/2005 Thanks to all of you who are emailing me and letting me know you're out there, it's been great getting your emails and new addresses so that we can update the class list. I have added some new pages, please feel free to email me any photos or information you have to add. Some people have had a difficult time getting the videos to play, if you have dial-up internet you might have a problem. Changes made as of 9/1/2005 are Teachers page, Entire Class List and 3rd Photo Gallery. And don't forget to check out the guestbook/classmate updates!

8/5/2005 This is just the beginning of a place to share information. I know many people are hoping to make some connections to old classmates. Hopefully we can do that. Please check back often and let know know you are out there so I can add that information. Mike Legel contacted me after the reunion and said he would host the videos on his website, they are split into two group because they are about 18 minutes long. They are cool and have great 70's music playing in them, Mike did them for the 30 year reunion. I have heard from some people after the reunion this year and it was great hearing from them. Thanks and lets try and share information and memories about each other. Don't forget to sign the guest book/classmate updates so we know you are out there! Anyone that was at the 30 year reunion, please....please email me some pictures. Thanks! Sue Baker
As different and alike
as some of us were in high school, we still share a common experience
together and that is West High school, a four year experience (good or bad)
that is small in our life time but somehow still holds a prominent place in
our hearts and mind. Or what's left of our minds!
